Scud Mountain Boys – Pine Box

Back in late 1993, early 1994. It was cold. Stephen Desaulniers, Joe Pernice and Bruce Tull recorded a bunch of beautiful songs with one microphone in Tull’s kitchen in Northhampton, MA. These recordings were originally released only on cassette. Chunk label from Massachusetts made a limited and hard to find vinyl edition.

Pine box contains beautiful, delicate original acoustic songs as well as moving covers of “Gyspies, Tramps and Thieves”, “Please, Mr.Please” and “Wichita Lineman”.

An intense, sparse, acoustic and melancholic melodiousness album that fits on the alt-country movement with bands like Uncle Tupelo, Whiskeytown and Lambchop.

Remastered from the original tapes and reissued on vinyl for the first time.
